¹⁾ The names of towns/villages that are listed in the Kloestitz church records, or could be established by use of other sources, are shown on the map. In case the church records list place-names like ‘near Danzig’, the place of origin shown on the map would be Danzig. Even if this may lead to some inaccuracies, I think, it is more useful to use all available data: they provide the information we need to get the big picture. Generally, if the church records contain information about the origin at all, in most of the cases the information about place-names is precise.
